No. EasyNav
may also be used without a GPS: in this case the vessel’s
position is calculated by means of the data the user enters
into the logbook. |

if I don’t have charts? |
EasyNav
have it’s own charts used when the plotter’s zoom
is over 250 miles. Under 250 miles the shoreline database, included
in the EasyNav’s CD or downloadable
for free from out site, is used to display worldwide shorlines. |

I use EasyNav at home for simulation and planning? |
Yes. Create
a logbook and place the vessel at the middle of the zone you
want cruise. Open the navigation with this logbook, create a
way point list and link it to it and you’ll be able to
use the mouse to fill the way point list. |
| Is
it difficult to scan charts? |
As more
experience you get as faster you go. There is a section into
the Help On Line that explains the bests techniques.
Once they are done, they may be exported/imported to/from other
users. |
| What
if I don’t have a notebook to take onboard? |
With EasyNav
you may create way point lists with courses and distance between
points and tide tables to be printed to take with you. You may
also print the Nautical Almanac for a wanted period.
The logbook may be written after your cruise so to print it |
